Brief: Create the festival’s visual identity

MERIDIAN FESTIVAL

The assignment was to create a visual identity for the 2023 Meridian Festival, a contemporary music festival organized by UCMR with the theme “PERSONA.”

The task was to create eight unique mask illustrations, initially inspired by ancient and tribal masks and we chose a more distinctive approach by sculpting them in Blender 3D software.

The design idea aimed for a balance between a clean visual layout to convey a wealth of festival information while remaining aligned with modern design trends. A deliberate choice was made to use a large and elegant font for the festival’s name to create a juxtaposition between the emotional depth of orchestral music and the raw, authentic quality of the masks.
